To everyone who helped: Thanks go to all the people who helped set up, work with, and support the students as
they researched, wrote speeches, practiced and then testified at the County Council committee hearing. Thanks
also goes to all the students, and their hard work and passion. The students were heard loud and clear and they
made the front page of the newspaper on Weds 2/2/11. The County Council committee members voted to move
Bill #17 on to a full Council hearing which is scheduled for Tues 2/15 in Kona at the new government center. We
hope to testify again on 2/15, but this time in the chamber with the council rather than by video. We also hope
to show some power point presentations.
Thank you again for all your help and support.
