Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 90-11, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 90-11, transmitted by Director of Finance Nancy Crawford via
Communication No. 245, dated June 22, 2011, authorizes the acceptance of a monetary donation
of$500 from the Pa'auilo Camp Community Association. This money will be used by the
Department of Parks and Recreation to support the Summer Fun program at the Pa'auilo Gym by
supplementing program fees. The Summer Fun programs are run island-wide at various Parks
and Recreation facilities, and provide activities and excursions for children in grades 1 through 6.
A letter of appreciation and copy of this resolution be will be sent to the Pa'auilo Camp
Community Association, P.O. Box 446, Pa'auilo, Hawai`i 96776-0446, acknowledging this
generous donation.
Pursuant to Article XII, Section 13-12, Hawai`i County Charter the Council, on behalf of the
County, may accept gifts or donations of money.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 90-11,
and recommends its adoption.
