ORDINANCE NO. 98 74

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983
(.1995 EDITION), RELATING TO VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII.
SECTION 1. Chapter 24, article 10, division 3; section 24-275, schedule 23 (Bus stop
locations), subsection (c) South Hilo, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (1995 edition), is
amended by deleting the following item:
[(13) Kilauea Avenue, makai side, beginning from the Hamakua side of the
Puna -end entrance of Kilauea Center and extending in the Hamakua
direction for a distance of one hundred twenty feet, from 6:00 a.m. to
6:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday.]
SECTION 2. Chapter 24, article 10, division 5, section 24-280, schedule 28 (No parking
at anytime); subsection (c) South Hilo, item (70), of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (1995
edition), is amended to read as follows:
(70) Kilauea Avenue, [east] makai side,_ from East Ohea Street [to a point five
hundred eighty-five feet Hamakua of Aupuni Street ] to Kukuau Street.
SECTION 3. Chapter 24, article 10, division 5, section 24-280, schedule 28 (No parking
at anytime), subsection (c) South Hilo, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (1995 edition), is
amended by deleting the following item -
[(71) Kilauea Avenue, makai side, beginning at a point two hundred forty feet
Puna of Pauahi Street and extending one thousand ninety feet in the
Hamakua direction.]
SECTION 4. Chapter 24, article 10, division 5, section 24-280, schedule 28 (No parking
at anytime), subsection (c) South Hilo, item (73), of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (1995
edition), is amended to read as follows:

(73) Kilauea Avenue, mauka side, [beginning from a point two hundred feet
Hamakua of Hualalai Street and extending six hundred sixty feet the Puna
direction.] from Kukuau Street to a point six hundred sixty feet Puna of
Hualalai Street.
SECTION 5. Chapter 24, article 10, division 5, section 24-280, 'schedule 28 (No parking
at anytime), subsection (c) South Hilo, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (1995 edition), is
amended by deleting the following item:
[(75) Kilauea Avenue, mauka side, in front of Savemore Super Market from the
Puna exit of the market for a distance of one hundred fifty-five feet in the
Hamakua direction.)
SECTION 6. Material to be repealed is bracketed. New material is underscored. In
printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed material and underscoring need not be included.
SECTION 7. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof to any person
or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications
of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to
this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable
SECTION 8. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
