ORDINANCE NO. 98 73
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983
(1995 EDITION), RELATING TO VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII
SECTION 1. Chapter 24, article 10, division 5, section 24-280, schedule 28 (No parking
at anytime), subsection (c) South Hilo, item (123), of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (1995
edition), is amended to read as follows:
(123) Punahoa Street, [between] mauka side. Ponahawai Street [and its end in
the Hamakua direction.] to Furneaux Lane.
SECTION 2. Chapter 24, article 10, division 5, section 24-280, schedule 28 (No parking
at anytime), subsection (c) South Hilo, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (1995 edition), is
amended by adding the following to be appropriately numbered and to read as follows:
0 Punahoa Street, makai side. Ponahawai Street to Mamo Street.
() Punahoa Street, makai side, beginning from a point sixty-nine feet
Hamakua of Mamo Street and extendingseventy-eight eventy-ei hg t feet in the
Hamakua direction.
Punahoa Street, makai side, beginning from a point two hundred nine feet
.Hamakua of Mamo Street to Furneaux Lane.
SECTION 3. Chapter 24, article 10, division 6, section 24-288, schedule 36 (Freight
loading zones), subsection (c) South Hilo, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (1995 edition), is
amended by adding the following to be appropriately numbered and to read as follows:
L) Punahoa Street, makai side, beginning from a point one hundred
forty-seven feet Hamakua of�Mamo Street and extending sixty-two feet in
the Hamakua direction.
SECTION 4. Chapter 24', article 10, division 6, section 24-288 01, schedule 36 01
(Active loading and unloading zones), subsection (c) South Hilo, item (3), of the Hawaii County
Code 1983 (1995 edition), is amended to read as follows:
(3) Punahoa Street, makai side, from Mamo Street to a point [61] sixty-nine
feet in the Hamakua direction.
SECTION 5. Material to be repealed is bracketed. New material is underscored. In
printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed material and underscoring need not be included.
SECTION 6. If any provision of.this ordinance, or the application thereof to any person
or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications
of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and. to
this -end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable.
SECTION 7. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
