SUBJECT: TRAFFIC CODE AMENDMENT:
KALOPA ROAD YIELD CONDITION AT (2) ONE-LANE BRIDGES
We request the Hawai'i County Code, Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 2. Moving
Vehicles, Section 24-265, Schedule 13. Yield locations, paragraph (a) Hamakua be
amended by adding new items and renumbering as required:
KALOPA ROAD, EASTBOUND APPROACH TO BRIDGE ADJACENT TO
PARCELS 4-4-2:5, 4-4-2:6, 4-4-9:3, AND 4-4-9:8.
KALOPA ROAD, EASTBOUND APPROACH TO BRIDGE ADJACENT TO
PARCELS 4-4-3:42, 4-4-4:6, 4-4-6:1, AND 4-4-8:48.
The reasons for this amendment include:
• Establishing right of way at the first of the two listed one lane bridges and
To update the Hawaii County Code to match existing conditions on the second of the
two listed one-lane bridges.
A location map is attached for your reference.
