Re: Resolution Accepting.Donation
Enclosed is a resolution accepting a monetary donation of$500 from Target, 74-5455 Makala
Blvd., Kailua-Kona, HI 96740. These funds are being given to the Hawaii Police Department
to purchase equipment and supplies for the National Night Out event on August 2, 2011. This
event is held to increase public safety awareness and to support safe communities.
Also enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating the
funds into the Hawaii Police Department's "Other Current Expenses" (OCE) account.

On behalf of Target, I would like to offer your department's Community Policing
Section in Kailua - Kona, a donation in the amount of$500 to be used for our
upcoming National Night Out event. The event will be held on Tuesday, August
2nd 2011 at the Kailua-Kona Target store. The funds may be utilized for
equipment, supplies, etc. to facilitate the Family Community Event put on through
a partnership with the Hawaii Police Department and Target.
