Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 100-11, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 100-11, transmitted by Director of Finance Nancy Crawford via
Communication No. 261, dated July 6, 2011, authorizes the acceptance of a monetary donation
of$1,000 from State Farm Insurance. These funds are being given to the Hawai`i Fire
Department in appreciation and support of the Fire Prevention Division and its arson canine
team, Fire Captain Robert R. K. Perreira and "Kaimi."
A letter of appreciation and copy of this resolution will be sent to: State Farm Insurance, 2828
Paa Street, Suite 1050, Honolulu, HI 96819.
Pursuant to Article XIII, Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter the Council, on behalf of the
County, may accept gifts or donations of money.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 100-11,
and recommends its adoption.
