Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 104-11, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 104-11, transmitted by Finance Director Nancy Crawford via Communication
No. 267, dated July 5, 2011, amends Resolution 56-11, which authorized the payment of funds
for more than one fiscal yea, for a new multi-year lease agreement, for one (1) copier for the
Department of Human Resources.
Resolution 56-11 limited both the monthly amount and the per-page amount for excess pages
that could be paid under the lease agreement. With Council's authorization, the Purchasing
Division proceeded with competitive procurement. The resulting low bid includes per-page
amounts above that identified in the resolution by $0.0005 for black and white and $0.003 for
color. The department's request is to increase the referenced amounts to match the bid amount
in this proposed resolution.
Director of Finance Nancy Crawford appeared before Your Committee. Ms. Crawford provided
Council Committee members an explanation of this amendment. The specific amount requested
on the original resolution Res. 56-11 is lower than the lowest bid received. Council approval is
needed to authorize this increase.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 104-11,
and recommends its adoption.
