Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation, to which was referred
Resolution 108-11, reports as follows:
Resolution 108-11, transmitted via Communication No. 273 from Assistant Corporation Counsel
Katherine Garson, dated July 8, 2011, authorizes acceptance of the dedication of Lot 4, being a
portion of Tax Map Key: (3) 2-3-008:001, situate at Ponahawai, South Hilo, County and State of
Hawai`i, from K. Taniguchi, LTD.
The 86 square foot lot is being dedicated for the purposes of improving the road and is located at
the corner of the Mamo and Keawe Street intersection in Hilo.
Councilmember Ford requested information on the nature of the improvements be brought
forward when the resolution is considered by the full Council.
Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation is in accord with the purpose and
intent of Resolution 108-11, and recommends its adoption.
