Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation, to which was referred
Resolution No. 109-11, reports as follows:
Resolution 109-11, transmitted via Communication 278 from Mayor William P. Kenoi, dated
July 1, 2011,authorizes acceptance of the grant of easements from Continental Pacific, LLC, for
public access purposes.
Continental Pacific, LLC, is granting easements to the County of Hawai`i, over several lots for
pedestrian public access to the shoreline and sea cliffs in the Pepe`ekeo Point area.
Larry Brown from the Planning Department informed members of Your Committee that the
easement grants were part of two developments that were completed in 2004, and that the legal
paper work for the grants was only recently completed.
Council Chair Yagong urged support for this resolution.
Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation is in accord with the purpose and
intent of Resolution 109-11, and recommends its adoption.
