I am totally against a new building code. The one we have is fine! I have built 4 houses on this island, and you
can be sure if there is a new code, I will not be able to afford to build another. Two are in the affordable housing
program, and I live in one. And the idea of requiring a safe room....who ever thought of that. If we have staff
that has to think up these things in order to stay on the payroll, we need to get rid of them to balance the
budget. We need simplification, not complication!!!
