No. 300/Bill No. 81 PLACE: Council Chambers Kona, Hawai`i TIME: 9:33 a.m. Council Chair and Members Hawai`i County Council Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 81, reports as follows: Bill 81, transmitted by Finance Director Nancy Crawford via Communication No. 300, dated August 3, 2011, amends Ordinance No. 11-59, as amended, the Operating Budget, ending June 30, 2012. The amendment is as follows: Account No.: Source: 3301.99 Federal Grants—Victims of Crime Act-ARRA General $ 8,892 Account No.: Source: 010.271.5271.85 Victims of Crime Act-ARRA General $ 8,892 The County of Hawai`i has been awarded $8,892 in additional VOCA-American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funds from the State of Hawai`i Department of the Attorney General. These funds are provided in order to continue to provide assistance to victims of felony and misdemeanor violent crimes. Pursuant to Section 46-7, Hawai`i Revised Statutes, County Departments must obtain the consent of the Council to enter into agreements with the federal or state governments respecting action to be taken pursuant to any of the powers granted by law to furnish, expend and receive any funds or other assistance in connection with projects being or to be undertaken pursuant to those powers.
