Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to submit the nomination of Herbert T. Hayama to the Hawaii
County Fire Board of Appeals for reappointment.
Mr. Hayama is a lifetime resident of Hawaii, and since 1996 has been apart-time
Housing and Community Specialist with the County of Hawaii Office of Housing.
Prior to this, he had a 33-year career (1960-1993) as an engineer with the
County of Hawaii. He is a member of the Hawaii Society of Professional
Engineers.
Mr. Hayama states that he is not a member of any political party.
If approved, Mr. Hayama will serve a term to end on December 31, 2003. Should
the Council have any questions, you may call me at your convenience.
