Subject: plastic bag ban
My Dear Representatives
If you ban plastic bags, I will have to purchase recyclable plastic bags to put my mixed
recycling in. Currently, I use reusable bags that I bring to the store with me, EXCEPT
for getting enough plastic bags at the stores that I can use them again for my
recyclables. If you ban these bags, I will have no way to contain my mixed recyclables.
Please think carefully before you take this step. Most people I know are responsible in
their use of these bags, and use them at least once or twice more before recycling them.
You DO know that they can go in the mixed recycle bin, right? Their use is not only for
dog poo, as mentioned in the newspaper article.
Thank you for your hard work in representing me. I appreciate it.
