Dear Chair Yagong and Council Members:
Please accept this statement in support of Christopher Manfredi's nomination to the Hawaii
County Windward Planning Commission.
As Chair of the House Committee on Agriculture, I am familiar with Mr. Manfredi's background
and work within the industry. He currently holds several positions, including Vice President of
The Hawaii Farm Bureau Federation and Project Manager of Kau Farm and Ranch Co., just to
name a few. I believe that through his experiences, Mr. Manfredi has gained comprehensive
knowledge of State and County land use and entitlements, permitting and archaeology. This will
surely be an asset to the efforts of the Windward Planning Commission.
Mr. Manfredi's record of service since moving to Hawaii nine years ago demonstrates his
commitment to bettering his community through collaborative efforts. I feel his selection to the
Hawaii County Windward Planning Commission would be a well - suited progression.
