Council Chair Dominic Yagong
and Members of the Hawaii County Council
Count of Hawaii
Hilo, Hawaii 96720
Testimony in Support of Windward Planning Commission Nomination:
Christopher A. Manfredi
September 8, 2011 (Thursday) Agenda — 8:30 am
Chairman Yagong and Council Members:
The Hawaii Farm Bureau Federation (HFBF), an 1,800 nonprofit member organization
representing farmer families statewide, is united for the purpose of analyzing problems and
formulating action to ensure the future of the agriculture industry, thereby promoting the well-
being of farming and the State's economy.
We strongly support the nomination of Christopher A. Manfredi to the Hawaii County
Windward Planning Commission. Mr. Manfredi is the Vice - President of the HFBF and Chair
of the Government Affairs Committee. He is a committed volunteer and provides thoughtful
leadership to the HFBF.
Mr. Manfredi's experience with Ka'u County's civic, agricultural, water and soil conservation
district organizations brings much to the table as the Windward Planning Commission
reviews and makes recommendations of amendments to the General Plan, Community
Development Plans; zoning changes and subdivision codes.
Your support of his nomination is appreciated.
Aloha,
)1itt
