Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation, to which was referred Resolution
No. 131-11, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 131-11, transmitted via Communication No. 334, from Assistant Corporation
Counsel Katherine Garson, dated September 6, 2011, accepts the dedication of a portion of Road
Lot R-1, being a portion of Tax Map Key: (3)7-7-027: por. 40, situated at La'aloa 2nd, and
Kapalaalae 1St, District of North Kona, County and State of Hawai`i (Ali`i Heights, Unit 1,
Phase II) from Towne Keauhou LLC.
The roadway lot, consisting of approximately 1.262 acres, is for road and drainage purposes and
has received dedication approval by all applicable county agencies.
Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawai`i County Charter, provides that the Council may accept
gifts, which include the dedication of land, on behalf of the County of Hawai`i.
Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation is in accord with the purpose and
intent of Resolution 131-11, and recommends its adoption.
