Administrative Services Assistant Joaquin Gamiao from the Planning Department appeared before
Your Committee. At the request of Council Member Ford, Mr. Gamiao explained that the grant
money would be placed in the Costal Zone Management Support account and would be utilized to
cover the cost of taking aerial photos as well as surveying the shoreline. This is necessary to map
and record costal changes due to climate change and erosion.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 96, and
recommends it pass first reading.
