Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation, to which was referred Resolution
No. 134-11, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 134-11, transmitted via Communication No. 337, from Assistant Corporation
Counsel Katherine Garson, dated September 6, 2011, accepts the dedication of a portion of Road
Lots R-1, R-2 and R-3, being a portion of tax map key: (3)7-7-028:por. 17, situated at Pahoehoe
3`d, Pahoehoe 4th, La'aloa 1St, La'aloa 2nd and Kapalaalae 1St, District of North Kona, County and
State of Hawai`i (Ali`i Heights, Unit 2, Phase II), from Towne Keauhou LLC. The roadway lots,
consisting of approximately 1.154 acres, 1.264 acres and 11,275 square feet respectively, are for
road and drainage purposes and have received dedication approval by all applicable county
agencies.
Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawai`i County Charter, provides that the Council may accept
gifts, which include the dedication of land on behalf of the County of Hawaii.
Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation is in accord with the purpose and
intent of Resolution 134-11, and recommends its adoption.
