The State of Hawaii Department of Transportation Public Affairs - Safe Community Program
is providing an additional funding of $5,000 to the Hawaii County Police Department's Traffic
Investigation Program. These funds, to be used to allow two additional officers to attend
Advance Traffic Reconstruction Training in Honolulu, increase the total appropriation for this
fiscal year from $15,000 to $20,000.
Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating the additional
funds into the Traffic Investigation Program account.
