SUBJECT: TRAFFIC CODE AMENDMENT:
OLD MAMALAHOA HIGHWAY AT THE ONE -LANE BRIDGES
We request the Hawai'i County Code, Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 2. Moving
Vehicles, Section 24 -265, Schedule 13. Yield locations, paragraph (b) North Hilo be
amended by adding new items and renumbering as required:
Li OLD MAMALAHOA HIGHWAY, NORTHBOUND APPROACH TO BRIDGE 29-
2.
LI OLD MAMALAHOA HIGHWAY, SOUTHBOUND APPROACH TO BRIDGE
ADJACENT TO PARCELS 3 -5 -9:19, 3 -5 -9:20, AND 3 -5- 30:49.
LI
OLD MAMALAHOA HIGHWAY, WESTBOUND APPROACH TO BRIDGE 35 -1.
These amendments are being proposed based on a request by the Department of
Public Works, Engineering Division to assign right of way at the approaches to the
subject one lane bridges.
