Enclosed is a resolution accepting a donation of a 1985 AM General Corporation, 5 ton cargo
truck valued at $3,773.54 by the Anekona Ouli Kanehoa VFD Company, P. 0. Box 7121,
Kamuela, Hawaii 96743. This equipment will be used by the Hawaii Fire Department to support
the 9 Bravo volunteer fire fighters in Kamuela in both training and fire suppression efforts.

B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
This donation is offered by Guido Giacometti and his company to support the 9 Bravo volunteer fire fighters
in Kamuela.
The donated truck will provide needed fire apparatus to the volunteers to facilitate both training and fire
suppression efforts.

Dear Chief Yawata:
As you know, the 9 Bravo volunteer company in our community has been training and
working with your department in various fire suppression efforts. We formed the Anekona Ouli
Kanehoa VFD Company in order to help support 9 Bravo in the effort. We are pleased to offer
to the department the 5 Ton Cargo Truck which we acquired at a recent military surplus auction.
A copy of the End Use Certificate is enclosed. I also enclose a corporate resolution authorizing
the donation of the truck to the County of Hawaii.
We have instructed our attorney, Alan Okamoto, to work with you and the Corporation
Counsel's office to prepare any other documentation that may be required to complete the
transfer.
We really appreciate the services of your department and look forward to assisting you
and the members of 9 Bravo in the future in providing effective fire protection in South Kohala
and elsewhere on Hawaii.
