SUBJECT' TRAFFIC CODE AMENDMENT
AMAUULU STREET: Proposed 15mph speed limit
We received a request to authorize a speed limit along Amauulu Roac in Kilo.
A speed study consisting of trial runs was conducted and we find 15mph to be appropriate for this narrow
roadway
We request the Hawaii County Code, Chapter 24, Article 10, Section 24-253.1, Schedule 1.1 (15 mile per
hour limit) under Hilo be amended as described in the attached draft for an ordinance.
A location map is attached.
