Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 316-00, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 316-OQ transmitted by Director of Finance Dixie Kaetsu, via Communication
No. 898, dated August ] 7, 2000, authorizes the County of Hawaii to enter into an agreement
with the State of Hawai `i, Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism for an
Energy Coordinator Program.
The Energy Coordinator Program has resulted in implementation of cost effective energy
measures within County operations and the community at large.
Pursuant to Section 46-8, Hawaii Revised Statutes, the Governor of the State of Hawaii may
enter into agreements with the Council of the County of Hawaii for the purpose of providing co-
sponsorship and maintenance of programs.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 316-00
and recommends its adoption.
