It has just come to my attention that part of this bill would sanction criminal prosecution for violations of building code. This is completely unacceptable. How can you even contemplate making a citizen a criminal for this? As you are making essential and necessary amendments to this bill, I urge you to completely remove Section 5 -61 re criminal prosecution. Section 5 -60, Administrative enforcement, and section 5 -62, Injunctive action, are available at present and are sufficient for the purpose intended.
