SUBJECT: Report on Recent Ormoc Sister City Signing and Hawai'i Island Activities.
I am requesting 30 minutes at the October 18, 2011 Governmental Relations Committee (GRC)
meeting at the West Hawai'i Civic Center for a presentation by Ms. Jane Clement.
Ms. Clement will report on the recent Ormoc City Sister City official Agreement signing and
Hawai'i Island Summit activities (September 12 - 16, 2011). A narrative on the next steps to be
undertaken will be made. Ms. Clement is the President of the Congress of Visayan Organizations
and co- organizer of the weeklong Hawai'i Island Summit activities.
Due to Ms. Clement's work schedule, I am requesting that her presentation at the Government
Relations Committee be scheduled between 9:OOam and 1 1:30am.
