Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation, to which was referred Bill No. 111,
reports as follows:
Bill No. 111, transmitted via Communication No. 384, from Public Works Director
Warren W. H. Lee, dated September 13, 2011, amends the Hawai'i County Code, Chapter 24,
Article 10, Division 2. Moving Vehicles, Section 24 -265, Schedule 13. Yield locations,
paragraph (b)North Hilo, by adding new items and renumbering as required:
U Old Mamalahoa Highway, northbound approach to Bridge 29-2.
U Old Mamalahoa Highway, southbound approach to Bridge adjacent to parcels 3-5-9:19,
3-5 -9:20, and 3 -5- 30:49.
U Old Mamalahoa Highway, westbound approach to Bridge 35 -1.
The amendments are necessary to assign right-of-way at the approaches to the subject one-lane
bridges.
Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation is in accord with the purpose and
intent of Bill 111, and recommends its passage on first reading.
