Re: Comm. No. 379/Bill No. 109
Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 109, reports as follows:
Bill 109, transmitted jointly with Resolution 163 -11, by Finance Director Nancy Crawford via
Communication No. 378, dated September 22, 2011, amends Ordinance No. 11 -59, as amended,
the Operating Budget, ending June 30, 2012. The amendment is as follows:
From:
085.3305.109 State Grants — Used Oil Collection/Disposal Solid Waste $15,000
To:
085.601.5607.30 Used Oil Collection/Disposal Solid Waste $15,000
The State of Hawaii Department of Health is providing $15,000 for the purpose of supporting
the Department of Environmental Management's "Household Do- It- Yourselfer" program to
collect and dispose of used motor oil.
The bill amends the Operating Budget by appropriating this $15,000 Used Oil
Collection/Disposal grant.
Pursuant to Section 46 -7, Hawaii Revised Statutes, County Departments must obtain the consent
of the Council to enter into agreements with the federal or state governments respecting action to
be taken pursuant to any of the powers granted by law to furnish, expend and receive any funds
or other assistance in connection with projects being or to be undertaken pursuant to those
powers.
There was no discussion on this measure.

recommends it pass first reading.
