Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 325, reports as follows:
Bill No. 325, transmitted by Director of Finance Dixie Kaetsu, via Communication No. 933,
dated September 12, 2000, amends Ordinance No. 00-64, as amended, the Capital Budget ending
June 30, 2001, by adding the following project:
PARKS & RECREATION:
WaiC'kea-Uka Community Police 110-299-5292.28-115 $55,000
Substation
Funds for this project shall be provided from general obligation bonds, capital project fund-fund
balance and/or other sources.
Funds will be used to establish a police presence within the upper WaiOkea-Uka community as a
means of deterring crime, and to afford the Police Department with a small satellite base of
operations for its Community Policing Program.
For informational purposes, Mr. Tyler voted kanalua twice.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 325 and
recommends it pass first reading.
