Subject: Proposed Amendment to Bill No. 118, Which Amends Ordinance No. 11 -69,
Relating to Electricity
Please see below a proposed amendment to Bill No. 118. The proposed amendment is illustrated
by Ramseyer format with respect to the contents of Bill No. 118; material to be deleted is
bracketed and stricken through; material to be added is underscored.
The amendment will restore the definition for "assistant" and correct the reference from
"administrative authority" to the "authority having jurisdiction."
Section 1 of Bill No. 118 is amended to read as follows:
"SECTION 1.Ordinance No. 11 -69 is amended by amending SECTION 2 to read as
follows:
"SECTION 2. Chapter 9, article 1, section 9 -5 of the Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2005
Edition, as amended) is amended by amending the following definition to read as follows:
"[ "Authority having jurisdiction "] "Assistant" means the authorized [representatives]
representative(s) of the [administrative authority.] authority having jurisdiction. ""
