Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 327, reports as follows:
Bill No. 327, transmitted by Director of Finance Dixie Kaetsu, via Communication No. 935,
dated September 15, 2000, amends Ordinance No. 00-64, as amended, the Capital Budget ending
June 30, 2001, by adding the following project:
PUBLIC WORKS:
Lanikaula/Manono Traffic Signals -Federal 110-399-5391.30-115 $2,200,000
Funds for this appropriation increase shall be provided from federal grants receivable.
Additional funds will be used to cover construction costs, including the installation of a new
traffic signal system, construction of additional turning lanes, concrete sidewalks, and drainage
facilities. The original appropriation covered design, utility, and right-of way costs. This project
is 100% federally funded.
The original appropriation of $560,000 is being increased by $2,200,000 to total $2,765,000.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 327 and
recommends it pass first reading.
