Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 326-00, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 326-00, transmitted by Director of Finance Dixie Kaetsu, via Communication
No. 937, dated September 18, 2000, authorizes the payment of funds of a later fiscal year and of
more than one fiscal year for amulti-year lease for a copy machine.
The Office of Aging wishes to enter into afour-year lease contract for a copy machine. Funds
would be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated.
Pursuant to Section 10-11, Hawaii County Charter, any contract, lease or other obligation
requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year must be approved by
resolution.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 326-00
and recommends its adoption.
