Aloha Council Chair Yagong and Members of the Hawai'i County Council:
I am pleased to present you with my endorsement for Mr. Chris Manfredi, Mayor Kenoi's
nominee to the Windward Planning Commission. I have had the opportunity to work
with Chris on many occasions to address critical issues that directly impact Hawai'i's
agricultural industry. In all of our interactions, he has been deliberate and thoughtful in
his decision - making and leadership. Though we may not agree on all things, Chris has
always demonstrated his willingness to listen, do his homework, and develop solutions
to problems in a manner that is respectful and inclusive. His conscientiousness is
applied not only to agriculture, which I know is his passion, but also to his sense of
responsibility to do what will best benefit his community. In my opinion, Chris has been
a very public and positive advocate for the agricultural industry in Kau and throughout
Hawai'i as is reflected in the leadership positions he has been elected to serve in the
Hawaii Farm Bureau Federation. For the important decisions that confront the
Windward Planning Commission, I can think of no one better suited to serve as a
member of the commission. Please confirm Chris Manfredi.
