Subject: criminalization of building code compliance
Please, County Council members, rather than making more criminals in Hawaii, look at Australia's
movement to objective based building codes, where only the objectives of building a building are
defined, leaving the design open to creativity and innovation to meet those objectives. By at least
removing section 5 -48 -5 on Page 17 of Bill 270, you will prevent making victims out of the homeless
and families seeking shelter within their means, trying to force tens of thousands of people to live in
'sick buildings' fraught with reduced air flow, chemical off - gassing, double -wall rat nests,
electromagnetic field exposures and numerous other public health hazards not anticipated by the
corporate interests that benefit financially from modern building codes, and ultimately paid for by We
the People.
A government which itself acts without a lawful transfer of authority under the law of nations, is
required in international law to operate under prior law. To insert foreign law by force is treason.
Operating by force rather than lawful authority, as you do now, do you anticipate the effects of forcing
much of Puna out of our homes, or will you accept fundamentally unfair and non - uniform application of
force in selected cases under color of law? Please think ahead before you act. Your system already has
too many criminals because you have far too many laws. You yourself cannot even read all the laws
that already exist. Then a few are selected for enforcement, enriching those who provide enforcement.
Factually, your approach to governance is no different than any other protection scheme, as an attempted
territorial monopoly.
The law is said to be the will of the legislators. If you pass this bill as written, you will make it a crime
to be poor in the Moku of Hawaii. Rather, look to the spirit of things... You have taken a sacred oath,
that marked upon your soul to uphold the freedoms of the people you have been called to serve, above
all else. Please be true to your spirit and protect our God granted freedoms of life, liberty and pursuit of
happiness. Please act with compassion and stop adding more threats and duress against your fellow man
in what can only ever be a vain attempt at achieving conformity with special commercial interests.
Building codes trace their roots back to the first written law, the Law of Hammurabi, the law of
commerce, which is the law of war (War means confusion.), where one group of people attempt to
maximize the life energy they can extract from another. This is fundamentally a form of parasitism.
Bill 270 is an act of confusion against We The People, the salt of the earth who caretake the aina, We
the Maka Ainana. If the economically dominant class of people living in double wall plywood
fortresses were to successfully eliminate those of us living with the land, who do you think will feed
you, when the ships stop coming? Remember, there is only one week of corporate food on this Moku.
Transition is underway. God has made us self - governing. As we align with His divine plan, we will no
longer need to lord it over each other. Thank you for considering what your transitional governance will
remove stumbling blocks for your fellow souls to whom you have the honor of providing divine and
self -less service.
