Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 120, reports as follows:
Bill 120, transmitted jointly with Resolution 176 -11, by Finance Director Nancy Crawford via
Communication No. 411, dated October 5, 2011, amends Ordinance No. 11 -59, as amended, the
Operating Budget, ending June 30, 2012. The amendment is as follows:

010.3303.77 Federal Grants — Justice Assistance Grant General $105,029
To:
010.201.5216.31 Justice Assistance Grant General $105,029
The bill amends the Operating Budget by appropriating this $ 105,029 Justice Assistance grant.
The U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, Bureau of Justice Assistance is
providing federal funds of $105,029 for the purpose of supporting the Hawai `i County Police
Department's Justice Assistance Grant Recovery Program.
Pursuant to Section 46 -7, Hawai`i Revised Statutes, County Departments must obtain the consent
of the Council to enter into agreements with the federal or state governments respecting action to
be taken pursuant to any of the powers granted by law to furnish, expend and receive any funds
or other assistance in connection with projects being or to be undertaken pursuant to those
powers.
