Subject: Request for Time to Present Zero Waste Program Overview on November 15, 2011
I am requesting 30 minutes on the Council's Environmental Management Committee agenda to present an
overview of the County's Department of Environmental Management (DEM) Zero Waste programs. The
November 15 meeting is scheduled for the West Hawai`i Civic Center.
DEM's Linda Peters, Recycling Coordinator, will also screen a nine (9) minute DVD highlighting local
businesses who have implemented their own Zero Waste programs.
