Comm. 459: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 11-60,AS AMENDED,
(Bill 141) RELATING TO PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS AND FINANCING THEREOF FOR
THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1201 1 TO JUNE 30, 2012
From Finance Director Nancy Crawford, dated November 1, 2011. This bill adds the
Public Works, Tsunami Damage Projects -FEMA($36,000), and Tsunami Damage
Projects- County($315,000)to the Capital Budget. These funds will be used for
repair of the damages sustained along Ali`i Drive and other facilities in the Kona area
resulting from the tsunami caused by the March 11, 2011 earthquake off the Pacific
coast of Tohuku, Japan.

Comm. 436: AN ORDINANCE TO INITIATE A CHARTER AMENDMENT TO ARTICLE X,
(Bill 128) FINANCIAL PROCEDURES, OF THE HAWAI‘I COUNTY CHARTER (2010
EDITION), BY ADDING A NEW SECTION FOR A PUBLIC ACCESS, OPEN SPACE,
AND NATURAL RESOURCES PRESERVATION MAINTENANCE FUND
From Council Member Brenda Ford, dated October 19, 2011. The purpose of this fund is
to accrue and use moneys for maintenance of lands and easements acquired by the Public
Access, Open Space, and Natural Resources Preservation Fund, which will preserve the
land and promote public safety.

(Note: There is a pending motion made by Ms. Ford and duly seconded by Mr. Blas
to close file on Comm. 436 and recommend passage of Bill 128 on first reading.)
