Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 333-00, reports as follows:
Resolution No.333-00, transmitted by Director of Finance Dixie Kaetsu, via Communication No.
952, dated October 5, 2000, authorizes the acceptance of a donation from Mrs. Sally Morikawa.
Mrs. Sally Morikawa has graciously donated a park bench in memory of her late husband,
Manabu "Mori" Morikawa to be used by the Department of Parks and Recreation near the
entrance to Edith Kanakaole Multi-Purpose Stadium. The value of this donation is
estimated at $300.
A letter of appreciation will be sent to Mrs. Sally Morikawa, c/o Big Island Retired Military
Association, P.O. Box 1840, Kea`au, Hawaii 96749, acknowledging this generous donation.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purposes and intent of Resolution No. 333-00
and recommends its adoption.
