Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 184 -11, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 184 -11, by Finance Director Nancy Crawford via Communication No. 439, dated
October 19, 2011, authorizes the acceptance of judo mats valued at $1,500 to the Department of
Parks and Recreation for use at their Waimea facilities.
Council Member Pete Hoffmann seeks the support of the members. Mr. Hoffmann commented
that these portable judo mats will be stored in the community center adjacent to the ball park in
Waimea.
Pursuant to Article XIII, Section 13 -12, Hawaii County Charter the Council, on behalf of the
County, may accept gifts or donations of money.
A letter of appreciation and a copy of this resolution will be sent to Stephen Hall, 62 -1218
Anekona Street, Kamuela, Hawai`i, 96743 acknowledging this generous donation.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 184 -11,
and recommends its adoption.
