Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 131, reports as follows:
Bill 131, transmitted jointly with Resolution 185 -11, by Finance Director Nancy Crawford via
Communication No. 440 dated October 19, 2011, amends Ordinance No. 11 -59, as amended, the
Operating Budget, ending June 30, 2012. The amendment is as follows:

The bill amends the Operating Budget by appropriating $13,300 Working Towards Crime Lab
Accreditation grant.
Pursuant to Section 46 -7, Hawaii Revised Statutes, County Departments must obtain the consent
of the Council to enter into agreements with the federal or state governments respecting action to
be taken pursuant to any of the powers granted by law to furnish, expend and receive any funds
or other assistance in connection with projects being or to be undertaken pursuant to those
powers.
Police Department Crime Lab representative Kathy Pung appeared before Your Committee.
