No. 441/Bill No. 132 Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 132, reports as follows: Bill 132, transmitted by Finance Director Nancy Crawford via Communication No. 441, dated October 19, 2011, amends Ordinance No. 11 -59, as amended, the Operating Budget, ending June 30, 2012. The amendment is as follows: From: 010.3301.99 Federal Grant — Victims of Crime Act General $21,268 To: 010.271.5271.56 Victims of Crime Act General $21,268 The bill amends the Operating Budget by increasing the appropriation of the Federal Grant — Victims of Crime Act by $21,268. These funds are for the purpose of supporting the Victim of Crimes Act (VOCA) program. VOCA provides salaries and wages for five staff, sub - grants for direct services to victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, homicide, child abuse, and limited operating expenses. Pursuant to Section 46 -7, Hawaii Revised Statutes, County Departments must obtain the consent of the Council to enter into agreements with the federal or state governments respecting action to be taken pursuant to any of the powers granted by law to furnish, expend and receive any funds or other assistance in connection with projects being or to be undertaken pursuant to those powers.
