m The Pacific and Asian Affairs Council (PAAC) is the only organization in Hawai'i whose
core program is to engage high school students and teachers in the Asia /Pacific
region; and to inspire these students to become leaders with a broader
understanding of Hawaii's place in the world. PAAC's programs introduce students
to critical global issues, foster appreciation and respect for diversity while learning
how to find similarities and bridge differences, cultivate understanding of the impact
of one's choices in shaping the future, and develop leadership and critical thinking
skills, and an international perspective necessary for success in the 21st century
global economy.
Mahalo to PAAC and their High School Program Director, Natasha Schults, for
providing and running the curriculum for the day!

expected to defend and advocate for them. It was interesting, having different people
