Mayor's Zero Waste Directive: "The Department of Environmental Management is developing a comprehensive County of Hawai'i Zero Waste Implementation Plan that supports and assists all agencies and departments in educating employees, implementing office systems, and preparing audit reports to measure progress to appropriately execute Zero Waste operational practices that support consumption reduction, products' reuse, increased diversion, and environmentally - friendly products."
