Violence Against Women Training Project. These federally derived funds, being provided through the State of Hawaii Department of the Attorney General, are to be used to fund training, and to develop and implement more effective police, court and prosecution polices, protocols, orders and services, specifically devoted to preventing, identifying and responding to violent crimes against women. Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the U. S. Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration in order to receive these funds. Also enclosed is a bill amending the Operating Budget by increasing the appropriation in the Prosecuting Attorney's Violence Against Women Training Project account by $8,405, bringing the total grant appropriation to $52,227.
