Re: Discussion with Managing Director Regarding West Hawai`i Civic Center

By way of this communication I am requesting time at the December 7, 2011, meeting of the
Hawai`i County Council to discuss the status of the completion of the West Hawai`i Civic Center
with Managing Director William Takaba.
The Hawai`i County Charter (2010 Edition) Section 6- 1.3(g), Powers, Duties, and Functions of the
Managing Director states:
"(g)
Attend meetings of the council and its committees upon request and make
available such information as they may require."
Pursuant to section 6- 1.3(g), on December 1, 2011, I transmitted a communication to the Office of
the Managing Director officially requesting that he attend the meeting of the Hawai`i County
Council scheduled for December 7, 2011, to discuss unfinished contract items for the West
Hawai`i Civic Center construction project.
