Ford, dated November 14, 2011, transmitting the above bill. Initiates an amendment to the Hawai‘i County Charter to grant the County Council the right to employ special counsel and Council staff attorneys without express limitation. RECOMMENDS PASSAGE OF BILL 152 ON FIRST READING: Ayes: Committee Members Blas, Ford, Hoffmann, Ikeda, Smart, Yagong, Yoshimoto, and Chair Pilago – 8. Noes: None. Absent: Committee Member Onishi -1. Excused: None. (For informational purposes, Mr. Ikeda and Mr. Yoshimoto voted “kānalua” twice.)
