Dear Chairman Yagong and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Mr. Bryan Caldwell of Council District 7 to the County of
Hawaii Transportation Commission. Mr. Caldwell is a 38-year resident of Hawaii. He
is presently employed by Clark Realty, and has been selling real estate since 2005.
From 1974 to 2002, Mr. Caldwell was employed by the Hawaii County Fire Department
and ended his career as a Fire Rescue Captain with over 20 years as an MICT.
Mr. Caldwell currently serves as a board member of the Sayre Foundation. He
volunteered his services as a medic with the Ironman Triathlon from 1984 to 2005, and
he was an elections precinct chairperson from 1978 to 2008. Mr. Caldwell states that
he is a Democrat. If confirmed, he will serve a vacant term to expire on
December 31, 2013.
