Mr. Ruderman, a 26-year resident of Hawaii, is the owner of the Big Island's Island Naturals Markets located in Hilo, Pahoa, Kailua-Kona and Kealakekua. Mr. Ruderman is a former member of the Solid Waste Advisory Committee and the Puna Community Council. He is also a former three-year president of the Waawaa Community Association and the past spokesman for the Big Island Rainforest Action Group. Mr. Ruderman states that he is a Democrat. If confirmed, he will serve a term to expire on December 31, 2015, replacing Michelle Zalenski who resigned. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at your convenience.
