The State of Hawaii Department of Health has increased funding by an additional
$15,715.85 for Emergency Medical Services (EMS) equipment at the Fire Department's
dispatch office, for four Telex C -Soft Consoles. In the current fiscal year's budget,
$14,358,592 was appropriated for this account.
Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by increasing the
total appropriation in the EMS Grant account by $15,715.85, bringing the total
appropriation to $14,374,307.85.

B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
The State of Hawaii increased funding for EMS equipment, at our dispatch office, for four (4) Telex C -Soft
Consoles. This State funding is by contract, identified as Administrative Services Office Log No. 12 -003, for
the period 7/1/11 to 6/30/12.
