Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution 191-11, reports as follows:
Resolution 191-11, transmitted by Finance Director Nancy Crawford via Communication
No. 476, dated November 22, 2011, authorizes the acceptance of a monetary donation of$5,000
from Kevin Kai`ea Pavel Memorial Fund of the Hawai`i Community Foundation, 827 Fort Street
Mall, Honolulu, HI 96813. This money will be used by the Department of Parks and Recreation
to support the 2011 Winter Basketball Classic.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Pursuant to Article XIII, Section 13-12, Hawai`i County Charter, the Council, on behalf of the
County, may accept gifts or donations of money.
A letter of appreciation and a copy of this resolution will be sent to Diane Chadwick, Hawai`i
Community Foundation, 827 Fort Street Mall, Honolulu, HI 96813, acknowledging this generous
donation.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution 191-11, and
recommends its adoption.
